The perceptions of old, decayed rooms with hand-down interiors and silent traces of usage provoke imaginations. Merlin Ortner gently revives these rooms and sets them in the right light and action. The interaction of motion picture and fixed analogue photography is achieved through long time exposure. Time is both standing still and moving, while transparent figures swing between substance and dissolution in ghostly inbetween worlds.
