OPERE SCELTE, TORINO (IT)
The exhibition Isle of Man focuses on the relationship between living beings analysed throughout an autobiographical lens.
The sculptures are as a matter of fact mainly male figures proposing again, with irony and sarcasm, circumstances experienced at first hand by the artist, who perceived them as absolutely illogical or mysterious even if they were often nothing but fragments of averege everyday life. Therfore, his research is the expression of personal reflections, an important moment of meditation and the interpretation of his childhood memories, adolescence and everything surrounding him to this day. The male figures, an endlessly repeated ego, become then an excuse to focus on the overall social system, on the role of people in society and on their significant solitude. His research leads to reflect on the peculiarity of given situations originated by the essence of the human condition which can´t escape some rules, but if it wanted to can recognized and downplay them.
