Zucker Art Collection – Winter 2015

International open call for emerging artists

The Zucker Art Collection is looking to acquire contemporary artworks by international fine artists.

This new private contemporary art collection is composed of works by emerging artists from around the world. By discovering and working with professional artists we learn about their work and open up opportunities for their career development.

The jury for the open call is composed of art historian and curator Rona Kopeczky, and Eyal Zucker the owner of the collection. The jury will select the winner of the open call from a shortlist of 5 artists. The collector will contact the selected artist to acquire an artwork in the budget range between $1,000 - $2,000 USD.

The deadline for the application is December 31st 2015

Application Requirements

The application is open to any emerging to mid-career fine artist. There are no restrictions in terms of media, production year, size, etc.

Every artist will be judged by her/his professional portfolio based on the artistic quality of the artworks. The portfolio must include:

  1. Selection of artworks
  2. Comprehensive CV
  3. Artist statement

Applications will be only accepted via the works.io platform by creating a works.io online artist portfolio. Only complete portfolios (containing selected artworks, cv and artist statement) get reviewed by the jury. Once applied, you may add changes to your portfolio until the official deadline, 31st December 2015.

Artists selected for the shortlist (top 5) agree that the organizers promote their portfolio (including images of all artworks) via their media channels.

The organizers keep the right for changes with written notification on their websites.

Timeline

The application for the Zucker Art Collection - Winter 2015 is now open until December 31st, 2015, midnight (CET).

The jury consists of art historian and curator Rona Kopezcky, and art collector Eyal Zucker, who will contact the final selected artist to acquire an artwork in the budget range between $1,000 - $2,000 USD.

The open call is managed on the Works.io online platform to ensure a professional, smooth and state of the art online application process. Using the Works.io platform allows us to manage the flow of applications efficiently, and extend the reach to a wide international community of emerging artists.

Please note, that the jury accepts and reviews only complete portfolios that meet the calls criteria and include a representative selection of artworks together with a comprehensive CV and artist statement.
