NMAG CALLS FOR DUTCH ARTISTS

No Man's Art Gallery calls for emerging Dutch artists working in any medium to join the worldwide exhibition concept

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO APRIL 25TH!

No Man’s Art Gallery aims to democratize the global art market for young artists by organizing world wide pop-up galleries. The eighth No Man’s Art Pop-up Gallery will take place in the Netherlands. After successful exhibitions in South Africa, China, Denmark, France, India and Germany, the pop-up gallery is expected to open in Rotterdam in May 2015. We have invited artists from each country that we visit to join us for a year of international exhibitions, providing an opportunity to show their work outside of the cultural and economic context in which it was created. We believe that such opportunity not only generates incredibly valuable feedback for the artist, but is also necessary to level the international playing field for emerging artists working from different economic contexts. Some of our artists exhibited, found their audience and have seen their work sold in six countries since they joined the gallery.

No Man's Art Gallery is now calling for Dutch artists working in any medium. Selected artists will kick off the collaboration by exhibiting at the Rotterdam show in May alongside 20 international artists that have joined us at our previous destinations. Any Dutch artist, regardless of background or previous exhibition experience, can now submit their portfolio to our open call here on Works.io. We don't care if you are self-taught, still a student or graduated long ago. We are looking for emerging artists dedicated to their practice that have a focus in their oeuvre and a critical attitude towards their own work.

On average, we receive about 150 portfolios per country. From those portfolios, we shortlist 15 artists that we will meet in person and discuss exhibition conditions with. Three to five artists will make it to the final selection. All applicants will receive an answer once the selection has been made.
