My work is based in the field of the Visual Arts. It is strongly influenced by geometry and nature. By organic and mechanical structures simultaneously. The elegance and beauty are two funda- mental concepts in my work. Like an essay of opposing relationships, my work mutates from analog to digital and vice versa.
Any of my works always start with a paper and a pencil. There’s a gesture, a flow of things, that is hardly found directly between zeros and ones. I am an artist who likes to explore and open new doors continuously.
At a first glance my works seem elegant and gentle. Their accuracy, their exact color combinations (reduced, sometimes to the naked materials that compose them), their unalterable balances, reveal a formal aspect driven by an almost martial order.
However, that serenity is only apparent. If you observe them carefully, they are all based on a delicate tension that goes from the surface to the volume, from line to plane, from geometry to figuration. A tension committed to painting, drawing, sculpture and architecture in shaping a complex and hybrid product. A significant tension, that stages a conflict that simultaneously captures the look and enriches the experience of the viewer.
I find my inspiration in the big animals and the tiniest ones. Existing and nonexistent ones. In plants and insects. Heaven. Books. The ink. Inanimate objects. The machines and their gears. In disassembling and reassembling. Looking back and to the sides. In the molecules. The numbers. The abstract. The constant travelling. Being here and there at the same time. Planets. Experi- ments. The chemistry and physics. Infinity.
