    in concrete | 2013 - 2014

The past few months my “Cityscapes” series developed into a new series titled “in concrete”. I exhibited these new paintings in a solo show in the NextArt Gallery in Budapest. For this new body of works I searched for buildings under construction, to depict the unfinished and “stripped” structures of architecture. I moved away from the “zone” of “concrete” and recognizable, creating a dialogue between abstract and figurative elements, reality and fiction. In these paintings I am reversing the conventional point of view and reflecting on the relativity of perception by depicting both inside and outside spaces within one pictorial surface.
