(Here we can for example mention the impact of the 2002 floods on Prague’s Karlín district in relation to the neighborhood’s Roma denizens). Mapping and finding new information in archives as well as meeting individual subjects who experienced the floods in both polarities also constitutes part of this work. The objective is thus to show that the floods never really ended and that their impact can still be felt in our streets and on our bodies up until this day. ________________________________________________________________ Project itself has two parts ________________________________________________________________ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1) The composed evening entitled HOW TO DRINK THE CITY________________________________________________________________ What makes a natural disaster natural? Droughts have no mind and floods have no aim. Despite this fact, these situations make social systems visible, uncovering their dynamics and weak spots. As part of a composed evening entitled HOW TO DRINK THE CITY, we will be joined by guests to discuss the perspective of the city as a collectively formed phenomenon that is the sum of both human and non-human activity. This perspective will allow us to revise our binary perspective on culture vs. nature and inquire into the kinds of relationships we can develop with the river. ________________________________________________________________ Guests - Tereza Mottlová Tereza Barteková Jaroslav Lenert ________________________________________________________________ Dramaturgy - David Přílučík ________________________________________________________________ Moderator - Ondřej Šebestík________________________________________________________________ Music - rlung (live) ________________________________________________________________ Venue - (A)void Floating Gallery Výtoň, Praha 2________________________________________________________________ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 2) SOFT DRINKS and RIVERS (screening the movie)________________________________________________________________ I used the river as a case study to freely develop individual aspects touching on gentrification and the toxicity of both the public and private spheres.~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
